Birth and Postpartum Doula Services Consult
This consult is designed to answer your questions and provide key steps for a healthy start for birth and breastfeeding! This consult can be scheduled for any time after you have confirmed pregnancy. It's perfect for both parent and supporting partner.
A private breastfeeding class is also offered in home as an option for more in depth needs.
A full doula package consists of 3 prenatal visits, birth attendance, and 2 postpartum visits with the option to extend as needed, Have an internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and RN at your side right at birth!
NEWBORN/ FIRST WEEK CONSULT
This consult is best within the first 24 to 48 hours after your baby is born. The focus is consistent, proper latching, milk supply building, and general breastfeeding questions/concerns. Included in this price is support by phone. If you have questions after the consult, I welcome the opportunity to address your needs.This consult is done in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Includes a baby weight check and personalized latching instructions.
POSTPARTUM FOLLOW UP CONSULT
At your postpartum appointment, I will spend a minimum of 4 hours in home to ensure you and your baby are off to the best start! That includes: laundry service, light cleaning, breastfeeding help, meal prep, new sibling bonding, and helping the new parents to integrate the birth experience into their daily lives. Extra care is made to create accessibility for the issues that may arise in the early days of bringing home your new baby.
Consult for extra in-home instruction and reassessment of latch or feeding problems are also done at this time. Additional follow-ups or postpartum visits can be scheduled if they are needed. I can also schedule overnight visits for respite care.
RETURN TO WORK STRATEGIES
In this appointment, we will create a return to work plan that supports your breastfeeding goals. I will help you develop personal strategies for maintaining your milk supply and milk storage at work. I will also discuss issues that can arise when returning to work and listen to your questions. Special attention will be given to pump care and maintenance. Includes 1 week of support by phone or text. When scheduling, please have all equipment and supplies clean and available to use in the appointment. Going back to work doesn't have to be stressful for your new family!
